Little Cinema No. 26: Requiem For A Dream (Remixed & Re scored)

A one-off screening remixed and re-scored with live musicians, a DJ, and dancers.  Produced by Jay Rinsky, with live score by Black Lodge, dance performances by Flexx Dancin,  3D Mapped Video Projection by Josh Slaby and live Dj'ing of the film and video art by CHNNLS.

A dream is never just filled with roses. A film can touch us in both dark and beautiful places. Little Cinema continues to explore the explosive emotional capacities of an iconic film remixed with a new live score, video art, dance & motion.

This one-off screening will pair live musicians Black Lodge with audio visual artist CHNNLS to remix and re imagine this visual masterpiece by Darren Aronofsky.  The screening will also feature 3D video art by Josh Slaby & dance by Flexx Dancin with more talent to be announced closer to the event.

This is another leap forward in Little Cinema's abilities to remix and reinterpret films, taking the emotional powers of cinema to new heights.

About the Film:

"Requiem for a Dream" tells parallel stories that are linked by the relationship between the lonely, widowed Sara Goldfarb and her sweet but aimless son, Harry. The plump Sara, galvanized by the prospect of appearing on a TV game show, has started on a dangerous diet regimen to beautify herself for a national audience.
